Buy weed online everybody says, yeah, right
Ok, so I got this big project I’m working on, a marijuana grow inside an old forest garden shack about 8′ wide by 7′ deep that was a former chicken coop! Cleaned, sanitized and rebuilt to indoor grow specs. Just 3 plants for the first grow. Just waiting for warmer weather now.
It’s going to make a killer grow room but It needs work, lots of it, if I’m going to do it right! First insulation, then reflective material, add an inline exhaust blower with carbon filter, oscillating fans, air intake, LED lights, special organic soil, soil and water testers, compost tea, etc.
Hidden away on my little four acres of countryside in the heart of the US this little shed is soon to make me famous. Well maybe for 15 minutes anyway!
But until my first grow is harvested or a dispensary is opened somewhere in Missouri (just voted to approve medical marijuana) I needed some medical marijuana to fill the gap. I hear it will be 2020 before any dispensaries are open for business. Being new here I had no connections I could trust. I needed to replenish my VA supplied meds for my PTSD and score some medical marijuana for chronic lower back pain and frequent headaches.
Aha, buying pot online is not as easy as you thought!
The VA meds are easy to get but I have moved from a legal to buy marijuana state to one where it’s still very much illegal. Update: 12/4/18 my state is now legal! So where can I go to get enough weed to get me through to harvest time, well, the internet of course, where I get most everything. I go online, type buy marijuana online in Google and lo and behold there are dispensaries? listed there that will sell you any marijuana product you want, edibles, pre-rolled joints, oil, flowers, all of it! An old potheads wettest dream, right?
Not so fast old timer
Is it legal to buy online or not? Or do people just do it? Most everyone, including legal eagles, pot lawyers, sea lawyers, etc that pop up on the first page when searching this subject strongly advise not to buy it online. I mean it’s an absolute NO vote from them! They further tell you that if a dispensary sells you marijuana and you live in a state that has not legalized it, it is against the law, they can be shut down by the Feds. They say that banks won’t handle the transactions yet you see Mastercard and Visa Logos on their websites. And the one that got me, PayPal.
My U.S. Greenbacks $$ are still man’s best friend
I have also been advised in further searches online that if I want to buy marijuana using my computer without getting scammed out of my money by unscrupulous fake weed sellers ala the ones on Craigslist, that I must use the TOR browser, a browser that protects your privacy and gives you anonymity online. I’m then supposed to use this deep web search engine to search for someone who will sell me real weed AND even send it to Walmart for me to pick up! Unbelievable! Then I just handle the transaction using Bitcoin and my weed arrives wherever I send it. Bitcoin? hmm I think not.
I think I will pass on all this crap and just go cold turkey until a friend with some good smoke takes pity on me. This Bitcoin deal and deep web stuff is for the kids to figure out.
Update: 12/4/18 Well of course I couldn’t wait so I actually purchased an ounce of weed online to test the theory myself. Would I get my ounce of Jack Herer in the mail or would I hear the laughing from far off. Of course I got scammed, no amount of follow up could get this guy to respond from my Twitter account, where I found him. I’m out $200. bucks and I’m pissed so I started plastering “fake” notices on Twitter and he/they eventually disappeared. But there is a happy ending to this story and I got lucky. I opened a case with Paypal for non-receipt of goods ordered. I did not have to specify what the goods were. They investigated and found in favor of me! Refunded the $200.!
